Introduction

The United Arab Emirates is comprised up of Seven Emirates, of which Dubai is one. The UAE has an incorporated Federal court system which relates to five of the seven Emirates. Dubai is not one of these, and though it must relate the same Federal laws, it preserves its own court system. The Dubai courts have following aspects ad follows; 

1. ·      Civil court
2. ·      Criminal court
3.        Labour Court 
4.        Family Court 
5.        Land Department 
6.        Rental Department 
7.        Rulers Court  

Civil Courts deal with Civil, Commercial and financial disputes. Criminal Courts deal with Criminal and offensive disputes. Criminal Disputes which get started from Police Stations, Public Prosecution, are also led to Criminals Courts. Labour Courts deal with every type of Labour & Employment dispute. Family Court deals with every type of family, personal and domestic dispute. Land Department deals with property buying, selling disputes. Rental Department/Court deals with rental disputes. Ruler Courts deal with cases against government departments, government employees, semi government companies as well as law firms or legal consultants. 

Levels

There are three levels of Courts as follows; 

1. 1st Court 
2. 2nd Court the Court of Appeal 
3. 3rd Court - Cassation, High or Supreme Court

There are certain conditions which needs to be fulfilled to qualify from 1sr Court to higher. For Second Court the Claim Amount should be more than 50, 000 AED. For Cassation the Claim Amount should be more than 500, 000 AED.

The very beautiful thing is the justice system. Do not consider your self alone if you are living single here and an expatriate. These Levels of Courts, Law and Order, Judiciary etc, all these things provide you strength, protection and support.
